What is PartiPeeps all about?
PartiPeeps is a place to search for new friends, and have new friends find you! Whether your interested in networking, making friends, dating or simply having your own space on the web, PartiPeeps is for you.
Is it free?
The website is totally free for basic use for anyone! It was created for fun, and because we've met some great people through similar sites, we wanted to give something back to your guys! We have a range of extras that do cost money but all the features are free with sometimes limitations. Our philosphy is that anyone can use any part of the site for FREE. Only pay for the extras you want or need. Make sure you check out the referal/invite system. Here you can earn points to pay for upgrades or exchange for cash!!
I havent Got/Lost/Deleted my Activation email
You can try to log in and a new activation code will be sent. If you are having problems getting your activation email then send a email from your email address to admin@partipeeps.com with your user name and we will activate for you manually.
Banning and Suspensions
In the event that we have to issue a ban we have a auto ban system. The first ban will be for 30 mins, then its 1 day, 1 week and then permanent. After 30 days it resets back a level, so if you have a day ban, then no more problems within a month the next ban would be a day again rather than a week.
This is to encourage good behaviour and reward it as well. We do relised that things can be said without thinking sometimes and people can get baited.
Where possible we try to help members and warn that repeats of certain behaviour could cause a ban befoere we do it. There is no point having a go Admins/Mods, they can only use the auto system. If you belive something is unfair or wrong then contact Webadmin or email admin at partipeeps.com.
When we have a permanent ban we will log/ban the IP and email address to stop fake accounts. Continued vioalations may result in further action under the abuse of the telecoms acts.
How do I use smileys?
You can use smileys in messages, the 'about me' section of your profile, and on the forum. To see a list of the smileys available click 'show smiley codes' from the send message page.
In order to get a happy face for example, you would type :) in your message.
In order to get a clapping smiley, you would type :clap: in your message.
How do I become a Fan/Friend?
FANS - Simply click the link to become a new fan on a profile. You become a fan right away, the user can delete if they wish and you can delete fans you do not want.
FRIENDS - Simply click the link to be come a friend on a profile, a request will be sent to the person and when its accepted you become friends.
How do I keep track of my Friends & Fans etc
On the top menu there is a link to the Friends area. Here you can accept or deny your friend requests, view your fans etc.
What about Comments, Visitors, raters and blocking?
BLOCKING - Simply click the link to block someone on their profile.
Click FRIENDS at the top and you have links to manage Blocks, view ratting, raters and comments etc. You can manage it all from there.
Who can see my Friends
In ' My Friends' you can set the option as to whether anyone can see you friends or only you friends or even none but you.
How do I change the image of the white flowers on my profile?
Go to 'customize profile' from the 'my account' page. Here you simply choose the image you want, and click 'save'.
How do I change the background of my profile?
Go to 'customize profile' from the 'my account' page. There are currently two ways to change your background.
Either choose a preset background from the list
OR in the advanced section you can type in the web address of an image file (usually a gif or jpg) that you want to use for your background.
You can usually use backgrounds that are designed for myspace.
Simply find the image or background you like on the web, then find the web address (url) and type this in the customize profile page.
Profile Music
You are able to put an mp3 as the music on your profile. To do this simply find an mp3 on the internet ( or use a shared hosting site) and find the exact link such as
http://www.partipeeps.com/hosted/music/blahblah.mp3
Once you do this The site will automatically load the music into your profile.
How do I invite my friends to join me at the site?
In 'my account', click 'invite friends'. Here you simply type in the email addresses of your friend / friends, separated by a comma:
e.g. bob@yahoo.com, charlotte@hotmail.com, horatio@msn.com
They will get sent an ecard inviting them to join you as your friend.
Also you can go to your account link above and use our yahoo/msn intvite function ans we do all the work for you. We will track who joins and you get points to use for upgrades or change for cash!.
How do I post images?
You can post images on the forum and in comments on people's profiles.
Simple
1) Visit www.tinypic.com
2) Upload your image to tinypic.
3) After uploading, Tinypic says 'Thanks! We Got Your Image!'. On this page click the text box that says 'IMG Code for Forums & Message Boards'. This will copy the image tag to the clipboard.
4) In Partipeeps, simple paste the tag from the clipboard into your post / comment. You can usually do this either by right-clicking and selecting 'Paste', or by pressing 'Control' and 'V' together.
Advanced
You can actually use nearly all images on the internet (unless they are blocked from use on other sites). You can normally find the URL (web address) of an image on the net by right clicking on it, and choosing 'properties'.
To get this image to appear on partipeeps, simply enclose the image URL with image tags:
e.g. [img]http://www.gardening.com/flower.jpg[/img]
How do I post videos?
You can post videos on the forum from youtube.
1) Find a video you like on youtube.
2) The URL (at the top of your browser) will be something like:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eV71mpbvl-g&feature=related
3) The 'video code' is the only bit we are interested in. This always starts after '?v=' and either continues to the end of the URL, or ends with a '&' .
In this example the video code is eV71mpbvl-g
4) To get the video to appear in partipeeps, simply enclose the video code in youtube tags:
e.g. [youtube]eV71mpbvl-g[/youtube]
5) If you are not sure, experiment! You can always edit your post and you won't break anything. :)

Deleting my account
We are working on the self delete button. Untill it is fixed if you want to have your account deleted just message Webadmin or email, log out and we will do it for you.
Who runs the site?
Partipeeps limited own and run the site with the capable assistance of the users input and the great team of admins and moderators and of course the users. At the bottom is a link to our full terms and conditions.

If you are a member the easiest way to solve a problem / report bugs is usually by posting on the forum. We check this regularly.

Bugs
As the site is still relatively new, and we are constantly adding new features, it is quite possible that you might find the site is not working correctly for you. If this happens please wait a day or so to see if the problem resolves - if not feel free to post details of the bug on the forum and we will try and look into the problem asap. In addition sometimes pressing 'f5' or 'refresh' on your browser can sometimes fix bugs by making sure your browser is using the latest version of the website.
